First Choice Ethiopian Frankincense
Boswellia papyrifera, a granular incense or frankincense, originating from Ethiopia, is of very high quality. Very clean and well sorted semi-translucent grains, totally free of bark residue. A high quality incense resin that gives off a fresh scent with slightly lemony pine notes, although less "resinous" than the smell of Boswellia carterii from Somalia or Yemen or the famous Boswellia sacra from Oman.
This frankincense resin can be burned on its own given the quality fragrance it gives off, but it can just as easily be part of a mixture of your own making.
It is generally this frankincense resin that is used in most church incense blends or in scented Greek incense (Mount Athos incense).
