Korean incense is much less well known than Japanese incense. At first glance, they look very similar. The packaging is neat and beautifully sober, the sticks are the same size, and the list of raw materials includes identical ingredients: sandalwood, agarwood, frankincense, cloves, cinnamon, etc. Yet the fragrances are quite distinctly different. Yet the fragrances are quite distinctly different. This is probably due to the use of specific substances such as different pine resins or plants like inula or scrofularia, as well as different spice blends.
