Black Copal from Mexico

 

Black copal or copal negro is a resin from Central America (mainly Mexico) of the Burseraceae family (like olibanum or myrrh) where it is used for fumigation. It is very similar to Copal blanco, also from the same region, in terms of its fragrance, use and virtues.
