Kunmeido Japanese Incense
An incense producer in Sakai City, now a district in the south of Osaka. It was once the main port through which the ingredients needed to make incense were transported and sold. Agarwood, sandalwood, Chinese medicinal plants, spices, etc. were all traded in.
The company Kunmeido was founded around 1810 (Bunka era) and has perpetuated the know-how of its founders, improving techniques and constantly innovating and seeking new blends to now offer over 200 varieties of incense.
