Wooden Boxes for Burning Tibetan Sticks
These lidless wooden boxes with metal bottoms are widely used for burning incense sticks in Nepal and Tibet.
The principle is very simple: light the stick and place it on the bottom of the box. Note that the bottom of the box must already contain some ash, otherwise the sticks will go out on contact with the metal surface.
Once you've burned several sticks, always keep a small layer of ash on which to lay the next sticks to be burned flat.
These boxes are ideal for burning Japanese, Chinese or Korean incense, or other incense also produced without bamboo stems.
