Sweetgrass
Sweetgrass or Hierochloe odorata, called Sweetgrass in the USA. This sweetgrass comes to us in bulk and is not braided, but it is from the same plant. It is of a higher quality and has long or short blades (the picture may show short blades).
Many native tribes in the United States and Canada use sweetgrass in prayer and purification ceremonies. Sweet grass is considered a sacred plant. It is often burned at the beginning of a ceremony or prayer. It is also burned after a purification with California white sage. Its sweet, vanilla-like scent attracts favourable spirits and positive energy.
In this form, sweetgrass can also be cut more finely and added to other plants of your choice.
