Oman Frankincense Superior Hojari
Omani Frankincense "Superior Hojari", a Boswellia sacra resin of the highest quality. This is the most prized incense resin. It is increasingly difficult to obtain.
This incense from the Sultanate of Oman, or Frankincense of Oman (eastern part of the Arabian Peninsula) is a resin of superior quality. Its wonderful fragrance is typical, very resinous, with lemony notes.
Beautiful, very clean, light-coloured pieces of medium to large size.
Important:
Like all frankincense resins, this one develops all its fragrance when placed on a thin, less hot charcoal tablet. Do not place such a resin on a charcoal tablet that has just been lit and is therefore much too hot, as this would alter the fragrance by adding notes of scorch.
This remark does not really apply to the Boswellia Frereana variety from Somalia (Olibanum Maydi) which burns well on very hot charcoal.
